tinyMCE is not defined
If you have problems saving a new blog entry using the Dashboard, or if you encounter errors 'tinyMCE is not defined' or 'invalid flag after regular expression...', here are some steps to follow to solve the problem:

- head over to http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=103281&package_id=179496 and download the latest TinyMCE compressor (v1.1.0).
- Unzip the downloaded file to a temporary directory of your choice.
- Open the directory where you unzipped the file, copy the files tiny_mce_gzip.php and tiny_mce_gzip.js into <joomla_directory>/mambots/editors/tinymce/scripts/tiny_mce/

jax is not defined
If you are getting errors like 'jax is not defined', or if the above steps do not work for you, try this:
- make sure /mambots/system/pc_includes/ folder and all files inside the folder have their permissions set to 0755 in the folder

If you still can't save an entry after following the above steps, or if you need help with installing the TinyMCE compressor, please send me a private message, or send an email to support@azrul.com.

Cheers.

Finally it works, I don't know how or why, but it works! Great!

The only thing I miss now is a german language file. Since I'm using jomcomment too (the actual version doesn't work with the system-bot provided by MyBlog, so I needed to upload parts of the jomcomment-system-bot too with the result, that everything comes out in english language, although I configured jomcomment to german.

- could you PM me a link to your site as well as a test username/pass where the problem occurs so I can trouble shoot it on your site?

Thanks

Hi sopwithcamel,

Can you check if you have version 1.4 of the Azrul System Mambot? Also, please do check if the mambot you have is published.

If everything looks set and there's still a problem, PM me with your site as well as a test user/pass admin acct so I can take a look at the problem live and troubleshoot it.

try setting file permissions to 700 in the folder <joomla>/mambots/system/pc_includes/ and see if it works. It has worked for some people.

I have the mambot published and it is version 1.4.

I set the file permissions to 700 and 777 in the folder <joomla>/mambots/system/pc_includes/

Neither option has worked. Still getting the javascript Void(0); error on the save button. I'll pm you a username and password.

 Sad I am having trouble.

First, i have to say I really love the my blog presentation. It is intuitive to the reader and I commend all your efforts.

Now to my issue.

I cannot save anything (i.e. tags, new entries, changes to old entries), however I am not receiving any error messages regarding AJAX or tinymce.

I have completed each step line out in this post and have met change.
In Camino, when I hover over the save button it reports back the link to be javascript:void(0). I am requesting your assistance.

please and thank you,
Luisr

Hi Luisr,
Did you try setting the file permissions to 700 and Directory permissions to 711 for <joomla>/mambots/system/pc_includes/ directory? If that does not work, could you send an email to support@azrul.com so we can provide you with support.?

Cheers =)

I'm not sure what has happened but right after I wrote the post, I lost the webpage. (I really mean it when I say I did do anything) and so I re-re-installed the Azrul system bot and thie site came back with a working save button. Odd. huh?

Not sure how to explain it.

I was having the tinyMCE problem but now its fixed.

In IE7, I am able to post a blog entry and it appears to work but in reality the entry is never saved.  I tried it in IE6 and I am getting the 'jax' undefined error.  I tried changing permissions on the folder as mentioned earlier but it did not work.

I am going to reinstall everything and see how it goes.

When entering a blog entry, everything works like it should but the entry is not saved.
Please help.

Thanks,
